Happy Anniversary Rob!!

Rob and I are celebrating our 6 year anniversary today. It has gone by so fast and has been the best 6 years of my life!! I tell everyone all the time that Rob is my better half and I mean it 100%. He was worth the wait. I was telling a friend that Rob was 27 and I was 26 (you do the math) when we got married and she said 'uhm, oh' she was so shocked that we were "so old"....as if?!?!???! I wouldn't change a thing about my single days and the good times I had. Then finally finding my soul mate and being completely ready in every way to tie the knot! To tell you the truth I think 26 is the perfect age to get married, it was enough time for me to grow up, get to travel, shop my guts out and PLENTY of time to be a little selfish....we all know that that goes away quickly when you get married and even more once you have children. We have a beautiful son who is the apple of our eye! We adore him in every way!!! Thanks for being a good daddy Rob!

Well, enough of that. Happy Anniversary Rob!!! Here is to 6 happy years and many more to come.

They speak English in England?!?! Who Knew....

So, I served my mission in England and was reading one of my favorite companions blog and saw this. I thought you would get a kick out of it. Enjoy!

Walmart Wackiness

I went to Walmart today to pick up some things and as I was waiting for my goods to be rung up I had the following conversation with the Cashier, a twenty-something woman:

Cashier: Where are you from you have an accent?
Me: England
Cashier: I should've guessed
Me: Well, sometimes people think I'm from Australia
Cashier: How long have you lived here?
Me: About 3 years
...... about 30 seconds passes by.......
Cashier: You speak English very well, did you learn it over here?
...... she says this with a straight face, no hint of sarcasm whatsoever......
Me: Pardon????????????
Cashier: Did you have to learn English when you came here?
Me: Umm, no, I've been speaking it since I was born, England is where English originated and the language we speak there.
Cashier: Oh, I never knew that, we didn't learn anything about England in school.b

The Heber Creeper

Family day at the Heber Creeper!

Daddy and Logan

Logan saying "choo-choo"

On Labor Day we took Logan to the Heber Creeper. I think he was more impressed with the oodles and oodles of Thomas the Train items in the gift shop than anything. Of course Logan went home with a new train set courtesy of Grams and Gramps!!
