Halloween Hoedown

Yee-haw! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! Logan went trick or treating at my work and was pretty much done trick or treating by the time we tried to hit our neighborhood. He was getting the hang of picking out his treat and putting it in his bucket. However once the kids starting coming to our house he would check out their bucket o'treats and select one of their treats as his own. He didn't quite get the idea that sometimes you take and other times you give! It was really dreamy actually. Everytime the doorbell rang he would bolt to the door squeeling!! I think he actually had more fun seeing all the kids in their costumes and taking THEIR candy than anything else!

It was a great Halloween!

Twilight......

Ok, so I have had several of you ask why I haven't been updating my blog or doing anything on my facebook account. I thought about it for a minute and was like well.....lets see. Then finally I realized that the last time I updated was over a month ago. Hhhmmm, about the time I started reading Twilight the first book in the series. Well that explains it.

Well I have to admit that I have been addicted to the dang Twilight series. Seriously, I am on book 4, Breaking Dawn, and will be returning to the real world very shortly. These books have been so good. Now I am just waiting to see the movie that comes out this month!

Happy Anniversary Rob!!

Rob and I are celebrating our 6 year anniversary today. It has gone by so fast and has been the best 6 years of my life!! I tell everyone all the time that Rob is my better half and I mean it 100%. He was worth the wait. I was telling a friend that Rob was 27 and I was 26 (you do the math) when we got married and she said 'uhm, oh' she was so shocked that we were "so old"....as if?!?!???! I wouldn't change a thing about my single days and the good times I had. Then finally finding my soul mate and being completely ready in every way to tie the knot! To tell you the truth I think 26 is the perfect age to get married, it was enough time for me to grow up, get to travel, shop my guts out and PLENTY of time to be a little selfish....we all know that that goes away quickly when you get married and even more once you have children. We have a beautiful son who is the apple of our eye! We adore him in every way!!! Thanks for being a good daddy Rob!

Well, enough of that. Happy Anniversary Rob!!! Here is to 6 happy years and many more to come.

They speak English in England?!?! Who Knew....

Can you say DUH!

So, I served my mission in England and was reading one of my favorite companions blog and saw this. I thought you would get a kick out of it. Enjoy!

Walmart Wackiness

I went to Walmart today to pick up some things and as I was waiting for my goods to be rung up I had the following conversation with the Cashier, a twenty-something woman:

Cashier: Where are you from you have an accent?
Me: England
Cashier: I should've guessed
Me: Well, sometimes people think I'm from Australia
Cashier: How long have you lived here?
Me: About 3 years
...... about 30 seconds passes by.......
Cashier: You speak English very well, did you learn it over here?
...... she says this with a straight face, no hint of sarcasm whatsoever......
Me: Pardon????????????
Cashier: Did you have to learn English when you came here?
Me: Umm, no, I've been speaking it since I was born, England is where English originated and the language we speak there.
Cashier: Oh, I never knew that, we didn't learn anything about England in school.b

The Heber Creeper

Family day at the Heber Creeper!

Daddy and Logan

Logan saying "choo-choo"

On Labor Day we took Logan to the Heber Creeper. I think he was more impressed with the oodles and oodles of Thomas the Train items in the gift shop than anything. Of course Logan went home with a new train set courtesy of Grams and Gramps!!

I couldn't resist them....

Ok, so they did pictures at Logan's school and when I saw them I was totally hooked. I just couldn't say no! I basically took out the checkbook and said how much? The outfits are so darn dreamy. I don't think they caught his personality too much but they are really sweet all the same.

The Queen

Ok, so we had a graduation celebration for Mari today at the PF Changs. It was really yummy and of course we ordered way too much food, not to mention that massive wall of chocolate! But all this pales in comparison to the celebrity in the house. I asked the waiter if he realized that there was a celebrity in the house, he said no so I told him 2 tables over was the Queen of England. See for yourself......

Here is a picture of the girls at PF Changs. Mari just graduated from BYU....Congrats Mari! You can't see it but Carey has the "wall of chocolate" in her hands. I am sure she is trying to sneak it home with her. Better her than me I guess, I do not need that sitting around calling my name.

More Belinda

Go Belinda! We really had a great time, nothing like jammin' to the 80's, right Mishell??! :) Hope you all like this video of Belinda because it has taken me all night to load the freakin' thing. :)

Long Live The 80's.....this one's for you Mishell

So Rob and I went to the Regeneration Tour with Justin and Steph last week. It was held at the Depot located at the Gateway. We rocked out to Belinda Carlisle, Human League and ABC, it was awesome!! We were literally 20 feet from the stage! I couldn't believe that I could sing every song that Belinda sang, including the Go Go ones she sang. Not sure that admiting that is very cool of me but oh well. :)

********If you want a good story ask me about the random guy "framing" my face!!! Can you say crazy?!?!?!************

My Garden

I was able to get my garden in this year. It definitely isn't big enough but it will do this year. Next year Rob will have to build me some more planters. My tomatoes are growing like gang busters! I have a handful of pumpkins growing and my peppers are ready to pick. I've decided that gardening is a great "out" for me. My flower garden is also looking rather nice. I may have gone overboard on the Russian Sage, I planted 4 in the back yard since we can't afford a fence I thought this might be a nice boundary between our neighbors and us. My plan is to plant bulbs in the fall so I have nice spring flowers. I didn't do this last year and I was so envious of those that did. It sure makes your garden come alive after a cold winter.

Still waiting on the corn but it should be any day now.

My flower garden is looking really good right now! I decided to have a purple pink and blue color scheme this year. Well wouldn't you know it my marigolds, my orange marigolds, came popping back up and I mean like crazy so there went my whole color scheme right out the window. It still looks really nice but not what I was going for.

Farm Country

We decided to put on our cowboy boots and head over to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. Logan liked it a lot more this year than last year. He actually let the goats eat out of his hand. Uhm, eeeeew, kind of gross and slimy If I am being honest. I think that his favorite part of his "country" experience was the wagon ride. The clydesdales were so awesome!

My two guys.....

Aren't they Cute? We are for sure going to head up to the falls again, it was so much fun!! We planned on taking the boat out but couldn't find the key to unlock the hitch lock so this was the next best option. I actually think it was a perfect day!

FEET!!

Checking out the falls

Logan loved the waterfalls! They were so beautiful. Rob and Logan took of their shoes and took a little dip. The water was pretty cold though. Logan was grinning from ear to ear the entire time!

Washington Lake

We took Logan up to Washington Lake and checked out the waterfalls and the lake. It was great to get up to the mountains where it was nice and cool.

Quack Quack Quack

Ok, so I didn't really know that I was afraid of ducks but the ducks we fed the other day were super aggressive. They almost ate Logan and if I were smaller they may have attempted to eat me!! It all started sweet, we threw a few pieces into the water and they were eating and sharing. Then more and more kept coming and soon they were surrounding us on every side! I had to act cool so I didn't scare Logan but anyone in their right mind could see that I was a bit frightened by the "love" shown by our new duck friends.

Logan is TWO!

I can't believe it! 2 Years have flown by so quickly. It has been the best 2 years for Rob and I. we have enjoyed every little moment with our special guy!

We had a swim party for Logan's birthday which was centered around KUNG FU PANDA! It was really cute and since it is his favorite movie we had to have the cake and all the goodies to go along with it.

He was really spoiled by Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Cousins and not to mention US!! We figure we are only going to have a few kids so let's spoil them rotten. Hopefully not too Rotten. :)

Happy Birthday Logan! Mom and Dad love you!!!

Parade Time!

Logan's favorite part of the parade was most likely the clown on stilts. This clown had some major skills.... he started to jump rope. With the stilts he was about 10 feet tall. It was super amazing! Of course anything with music made Logan get his 'groove' on! He is really cute when he dances.

Parades, Parties and Fireworks!!

We had a great 4th of July this year. We went to the Murray parade, man I can't believe the amount of candy they throw out!! Seriously there was so much just sitting around that no one picked up because they already had too much. Then we went to a pool party and bbq at Aunt Joan's. It was a lot of fun! Then we came home and cleaned up and then left for fireworks at Thanksgiving point. We actually sat just outside at a park which was perfect for Logan to play and keep entertained until the big show. Logan really liked the fireworks this year! Thanksgiving point sure put on a good show.

Lagoon Day!

So every year my dad gets tickets to Lagoon for being the big time Mayor of Cornish. The family always puts the tickets to good use. I have to say that it wasn't one of our better trips to Lagoon. Rob just started a new job and had a meeting he couldn't miss so he couldn't come until after work. Instead of driving he thought he would jump on the ever so 'convenient' Front Runner (train) that goes takes you to Davis County and supposedly Lagoon. 3 hours later and a trek across the freeway on a dirt road Rob finally arrived at 8:30 pm. Poor guy!!! Logan wasn't a big fan of the rides unless I could go on it with him so we went on the train and the tiki ride that is like the Tidal Wave. We had to put Logan's little backpack/leash on him or we would have lost him in 2 seconds flat. He seemed to really like the Lagoon games ( I wonder if we have a "carny lover" on our hands....hhmmmm ) He played a little Whack a Mole and baseball. He took the baseball and threw it into the crowd, lucky for all of us that he didn't hit someone. I must admit it was a little funny!! Stephen and Alex, Rob's nephew's, stayed late with us and watched Logan so Rob and I could go on some rides!! I do love that Spider ride. Unfortunately the line for Wicked was too long so no go this year. Although my dad went on it and I would have loved to see that!!!
